HEALTH 

“Challenge One Health” is a comprehensive, interactive, digital event, which addresses one of the most important topics of our time: One Health – the health of people, animals and the environment. At the 48-hour hackathon from March 12-14, 2021, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions and initiate cross-sector collaborations. In science and research, there is increasing recognition that we need to subject the topic of “health” in our globalized, high-tech world, which is subject to climate change, to a broader understanding that is summarized under the term “One Health”: An approach to health that blurs sectoral boundaries and requires intensive cooperation between human medicine, veterinary medicine and the environmental sciences.

Develop solutions in interdisciplinary teams: Present your idea, convince the community of your approach and develop solutions together with scientists, data scientists, software developers, product managers and other innovators in an online hackathon.

Your team’s idea has convinced the jury and you firmly believe in the success of the solution you have found? Then for us it means: “After the hackathon is before the start-up”! From our network mentors from the fields of innovation, startup funding, agriculture and food industry, veterinary and human medicine, environmental sciences, life sciences and technology transfer will support you to develope your idea to a real solution.

To give your idea the final touch, you have the opportunity to apply for one of the highly desired places in an accelerator and to take advantage of the Lower Saxony start-up grant.

With the start-up grant, the state of Lower Saxony supports up to three founders per team with up to 2,000 euros per month for 8 months in the pre-seed and seed phase – a total of 16,000 euros per founding member and 48,000 euros per team
